In this lecture we cover how stress response works through the HPA axis and SAS, affecting the immune system, oxidative balance and metabolic health. We discussed how to cope with stress by employing lifestyle interventions such as exercise, cold plunges, heat stress, dietary measures; and botanical medicine, including adaptogens and nervines; specific nutrients such as magnesium, L-theanine, tryptophan and more.
